Jim and Becky Suckow left last Friday to visit in the home of their son, Andrew Suckow at West Des Moines. Their daughter, Amy Suckow of Eden Prairie, MN also came to visit. They planned to return home Wednesday.
Larry and Fran Peelen attended their granddaughter’s dance recital held in Papillion, NE. Hannah Meyer, daughter of Ken and Dianne Meyer of Omaha, has attended dance classes for fourteen years. For her solo and last dance performance Hannah did point ballet of an arrangement she wrote herself. Hannah also did tap dance.
Last week Sunday granddaughter, Claire Ann Ten Kley of Fremont, NE arrived in the home of her grandparents, Jose and Carol Salazar to visit for a week. She is the daughter of Jeremy and Christy Ten Kley. They enjoyed attending movies, shopping, eating out and playing lots of games. Claire returned home Sunday afternoon.
Lindy Buren returned home from spending two weeks visiting her daughter, Krista in Georgia. She reported a relaxing and good visit. The weather was nice for four days, then rain and cold set in for 10 days. She reported she’s glad to be home.
Andy, Brandi, Maci, Jack and Kennedy Wright were Sunday dinner guests in the Jack and Carol Elgersma home.
Larry and Fran Peelen viewed their granddaughter Hannah Meyer’s graduation ceremony live on YouTube Saturday afternoon. Hannah graduated with honors and was one of 544 graduating seniors. Sunday afternoon Larry and Fran attended Hannah’s graduation party held at the home of her parents, Ken and Dianne Meyer of Omaha.
Riley and Shelby Partridge and children Laken and River of North Liberty were Sunday visitors of Sylvia Andringa.
Last Wednesday Randy and Candice Lyman attended the preschool graduation of their grandson, Ryker Eliker at Lincoln, NE. He is the son of Swede and Kim Eliker. Ryker, and Jayden Lyman returned home with them Friday. Ryker is spending a week with his grandparents.
Ronda and Bianca Vondra of Fremont, NE came Saturday morning and picked up Linda Rozeboom. They went to Spencer to attend the graduation reception for Zack Nissen. Rick Maranell and Bob Maranell also attended from Sanborn. Zack is the son of Scott and Terrie Nissen and a grandson of Lindas sister Shari. Mike Rozeboom of Sioux Falls, SD also attended the graduation.
Lee and Susie Van Tol attended a graduation reception Saturday afternoon in honor of their grandson Jaden Bouma. It was held at the Vander Haag Museum in Sanborn. Jaden is the stepson of Justin and Carla VanTol.

Rhonda Lyman and Lorn and Joan Wills attended the graduation of their grandson and nephew, Logan Quinones from Southeast Polk High School with a class of 500. The Pleasant Hill school held their graduation ceremony at the Drake Knapp Center in Des Moines.
Jack and Carol Elgersma attended Peace Lutheran Church in Marcus Sunday. The Rite of Confirmation was held for Jack’s grandchildren, Aaron and Crystal Letsche during the service. Aaron and Crystal are the children of Brian and Shannon Letsche.
Wade and Sherryl Tressler went camping in LeSuer, MN at Peaceful Valley campground for the holiday weekend. Their friends, Ruby Johns and Richard Brooks from Henderson, MN met them and camped also. On their way up they stopped at Franklin, MN campground. Sherryl’s cousins, Ed and Samantha Huff were there and the Tresslers brought them a meal to share.
Tom and Trisha Peelen and grandsons Isiah and Jeremiah from Nevada, MO visited in the Larry and Fran Peelen home. The Peelens taught their great grandsons card games and hit some golf balls at the Sanborn golf course. Tom had inherited a grain drill from his father-in-law which is on display in the Vander Haag Yesterday’s Memories and Truck Museum. They all went to see the drill and tour the Museum. The two Peelen families met again at the Ken and Dianne Meyer home in Omaha to help Hannah Meyer celebrate her graduation. Tom is Hannah’s Uncle.
