Chief of Police Bill Koopman has submitted his resignation for the Town of Sanborn. It stated that he wished to accept a position as deputy sheriff of Osceola County.
The City received their new tractor last week, an International Harvester.
Mrs. Olive Loafman plans to leave Friday for Alaska with friends from Sioux City. She will visit relatives in Fairbanks while there.
Dennis Ruisch left Wednesday on the Wilderness Canoe Trip to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in Northern Minnesota.
Police were summoned to Sanborn Foods, Inc. early Friday morning to investigate a theft discovered about 7 a.m. by Bert Kuiper, an owner of the store.

The descendants of Ralph and Pearl Epping are having a reunion on July 4 at the Miller Park Shelter House.
Dawn Schroeck graduated from University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls with a MA degree in Health Promotion/Fitness Management. She will be employed in Minneapolis, MN.
