Marv Donkersloot, well-known auctioneer of this area, has announced the purchase of a sale barn in Chillicothe, MO….The family plans to move there the last of July.
Merle Andringa reported a total of 21 junk cars taken from Sanborn to the car crushing center at a lot owned by Bilsland Motors Co. in Sheldon.
A terrific north wind hit Sanborn about 10 o’clock Sunday evening, accompanied by heavy rain. There were about two dozen reports Monday of damage to cars and homes.
Arlene Bosma escaped injury when her 1966 Oldsmobile she was driving was hit in a collision with a train on Western Avenue in Sheldon.

Prairie View Auxiliary is sponsoring an ice cream social at 7 p.m. July 10 at the Prairie View garage. A quilt will be auctioned.
The Sanborn Ambulance Service is looking for volunteers to fill openings on their “Team.”
The Masonic Temple on Sanborn’s Main Street is getting the addition of a new entrance which will contain a wheelchair lift. Gibbons Contracting is doing the construction work.
