Airman George D. Andringa, son of the Merle Andringas, has completed Air Force basic training at Lackland AFB, Texas.
Army Specialist Four Russel Smith is serving with the 44th Air Defense Artillary in Korea.
Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Miller have returned home from Arnolds Park where they spent the summer at Miller’s North Shore Cottages.

The HMS Community School received a State Board of Education Equity Recognition Award for its program of teaching English as a Second Language to community residents.
Christmas came early at the Don Kroese residence. Pictured was an amarylis planted outside for the summer that decided to bloom without going through the usual dormant stage.
