Omitted last week: Steve Goetz of Fairbanks, AK arrived by plane Wed., Oct.11 for a visit in the Charlotte Dasen home. Steve had stored his motorcycle with Todd Heitritter last summer and on Sunday, Oct. 15 he took off on his motorcycle for a vacation to Texas and ending in California to visit relatives and to store his motorcycle. He reported that he drove in a cold rain the whole first day but had good weather after that.
After spending a fun family time at the car show at Solsma’s Punkin Patch on Saturday afternoon, Harriet Van Veldhuizen and daughters enjoyed a “Coffee Time” at Prairie View Manor with Jeane Van Veldhuizen. They were especially happy to visit with Kyle McKee from Washington, DC. Others present were Diane, Chad and Katie McKee and friend Tate and Shari Pyle all of Sioux Falls, and Donna and Kim Farrell and Nancy and Ryan Van Dyke.
Jeff Dasen of Scottsdale, AZ left last week Wednesday after visiting for two weeks in the parental Charlotte Dasen home.
Lindy Buren has been visiting her daughter, Krista in Atlanta, GA. They toured the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and museum in Atlanta a week ago. This weekend they toured the Olympic Games park in Atlanta and Botanical Gardens in Gainesville. She reported that her son, James Carney has been hospitalized twice in Sibley recently but was scheduled to be back in the rehab center in Sibley this week.
Jim and Becky Suckow spent from Friday to Sunday in the home of their son, Andrew at West Des Moines.
Lee and Susie Van Tol attended the Elgersma Cousins Reunion held at the Vander Haag Museum on Sunday. She reported a very good crowd.
