Marie Maranell of Carlisle spent the weekend with Linda Rozeboom. She came especially to attend a bridal shower held in honor of Kara Maranell. The shower, held at the Carnegie Hall Saturday, was hosted by Lisa Lode, Twila Otis, both Kara’s aunts, and Lindsey Brown, Kara’s cousin.
Last Thursday Carol Salazar, Sue Leth, Kathy Ginger, Cindy McParland and Margaret Larson were guests of Carol. They all got together to celebrate Margaret’s birthday. They enjoyed dinner at the Pizza Ranch in Sheldon and then did some shopping. They returned to Carol’s home for cake and ice cream. They reported a fun day.
Last week Monday afternoon visitors of Charlotte Dasen were Robby and Laura Ballou of Boise, ID, his sister, Shelly Brown, and Tamara and Rose Johannsen of Sheldon. The Ballous were returning home after visiting family in the area.
Bob Ellett of Iowa City was in Sanborn for a few days last week and stopped in to visit Charlotte Dasen Friday evening.
Lindy Buren returned home last week from a three-week trip to Atlanta, GA and Tennessee. She reported that the weather there was 75 degrees and beautiful. She landed in Sioux Falls on October 27 to 16 degree windchill. She stated that it’s good to be home and “rest up” from her vacation.
Last Saturday morning Becky Suckow hosted a Craft morning. Present were Carol Elgersma, CJ Schroeder, and Carrie Bangert.
The Jim Suckows celebrated Jim’s birthday Sunday. They went out for lunch with Shawn and CJ Schroeder and in the afternoon visited Dean and Glenda Schroeder at Hartley.
