Friday morning John and Donna Farrell took Harriet Van Veldhuizen to Sioux Falls to attend the graduation party for Harriet’s granddaughter, Leah Pyle. She received her LPN degree from Southeast Technical College in Sioux Falls. Other guests were Ryan and Nancy Van Dyke and various relatives and friends from Doon, IA, Sioux Falls and Huron, SD. On the way they stopped in Hull to visit Janet Brunsting who is recovering from knee surgery.
Saturday afternoon visitors in the Lee and Susie Van Tol home were Justin Van Tol, Ken and Rebecca Miller, Natalee and Lilee of Primghar, their niece Corbyn, and grand-nephew Emitt Bittner of Del Rapids, SD. Emitt is the first great-grandson of the Van Tols. All enjoyed pizza at the house.
Linda Rozeboom met her cousins, Dave and Carol Van Roekel of Spirit Lake for lunch at Spencer Monday noon.
Deb Raymond flew to sunny California on Wed., December 6 for her annual pilgrimage to visit her sister, Cindy and brother-in-law Doug Reeves. For the next three days they measured, mixed, and chopped, and laughed, resulting in oodles of cookies and delicious lunch items. They shared these with 60-plus friends and family on Sunday, Dec. 9. On Sunday they drove to Las Vegas, NV to see Deb’s great-niece’s orchestra performance. Deb returned home on Monday., Dec. 11.
The Crazy 8 Card Club met Friday at Jay’s Restaurant & Lounge for lunch and then played 500 in the afternoon. Shirley Mulder won high, Ardis Dummett won second, and Jean Snyder was low.
