The Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn girls entertained Akron-Westfield in a War Eagle Conference golf dual held April 4 at Sanborn Golf and Country Club. HMS posted no team score as there were only three Hawks competing. The Westerners’ winning score in the dual was 208.
HMS claimed two of the medals. Gracie Knobloch fired a 46 to tie for the low round of the day. She lost the tiebreaker to the Westerners’ Allie Swoyer and finished second. Kinsey Schirmer earned the fourth-place medal with a round of 50. Freshman Ava Dolphin shot 65 in her first varsity competition.
