Codey Fisher, age 33, of Worthington, Minnesota, died Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
Codey James Fisher, born on March 25th, 1991, in Worthington, Minnesota, brought joy and warmth to all who knew him. He grew up on an acreage north of Sibley, Iowa, under the loving guidance of his parents Jeff and Kelli Van Gelder. Codey attended Sibley-Ocheyedan High School until 2009, before pursuing his passion for mechanics and millwright work, becoming known for his skill and dedication.
He leaves behind his beloved parents, Jeff and Kelli (Joens) Van Gelder; three sisters, Paige (Jesse) Reed, Madison (Jesse) Glade, Megan (Kyle) Knutson; niece and nephew, Beckett and Mya Glade and niece, Hattie Knutson; grandmother, Charlene Bockman; and his daughters Lily, Jordyn, and Cora Bulman. His wide circle of family and friends will remember him fondly.
A celebration of Codey’s life was held May 5 at the Ocheyedan Town Hall.
