Sanborn man in two vehicle collision near Hull
A Sanborn man was involved recently in a two-vehicle collision near Hull that sent the other driver to the hospital with minor injuries.
On Monday, May 13, at 9:04 p.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of highway 75 and 300th Street; three miles northwest of Hull.
According to the report, James Andringa, age 82 of Sanborn, was driving a 2015 Ford Edge northbound on Highway 75. Eric Rens, age 51 of Hull, was driving a 2014 Suzuki motorcycle northbound on Highway 75. Andringa began making a U-turn in the intersection and the two struck.
Rens was transported by the Hull Ambulance to Sioux Center Health for treatment of minor injuries.
The Ford sustained approximately $7,000 in damage, the Suzuki approximately $3,000 in damage.
Andringa was cited for making an unsafe turn.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Rock Valley Police Department, Hull Fire Department and Hull Ambulance.
