Gracie Knobloch competed in the Class 1A State Golf Tournament which was held May 23 and 24 at American Legion Golf Course in Marshalltown. The Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn junior shot 99 on the 18-hole course on Thursday. She followed that up with a 93 on Friday for a 192 total. That placed her 38th, which put her in the top half of the field of 78 golfers.
“State golf was an incredible experience,” remarked HMS coach Cheryl Kroese. “Gracie improved with each round she shot. Lots of lessons learned and excited that she gets to build on the experience and work to repeat next year!”
