Saturday guests in the Jack and Carol Elgersma home were Alissa, Chloe, Taylen, Ellie and Jase Holland of Buffalo Center, and Brandi, Maci, Jack and Kennedy Wright of Sanborn. On Sunday Brandi, Maci, Jack and Kennedy Wright and Jack and Carol Elgersma traveled to Round Lake, MN to visit with Josh and Angie Holz and Blake.
Jim Dasen of Cedar Rapids spent from Thursday to Saturday in the Charlotte Dasen home. He came especially to repair the fence broken by a tree which had fallen in the terrific wind last Thursday. The tree held the popular Dasen monorail enjoyed by three generations of Dasens and friends. The monorail is now a fond memory.
Jim and Becky Suckow spent from Friday to Sunday visiting their son, Andrew at West Des Moines. While there they also visited with Jim’s cousin, Tom and MaryKay Suckow of West Des Moines on Saturday and had supper with them.
Linda Rozeboom attended the funeral service for her cousin, Sandra Van Roekel held at Sioux City last Thursday.
Wade and Athena Kellenberger and Gavin of Sioux Falls spent Sunday in the parental Joanne Andersen home. They had lunch together and accomplished some household repairs.
Lindy Buren returned home June 7 after a month’s vacation at Atlanta, GA with her daughter, Krista Ewoldt of Jefferson, GA. She reported having a wonderful time in Savannah and Hilton Head in South Carolina. They also went to a prep baseball tourney in Atlanta at the Lake Port Sport Complex. It was a four-day tourney featuring traveling teams from several states. They attended to watch friend 16-year-old Jordan Childress on the Tennessee team. It was an exciting win and Jordan played in two more games which they also won. She reported a great vacation which was a Mother’s Day gift from her daughter, Krista.
