Sanborn Community Calendars for 1975 are again being provided by the businesses of the community listed on the calendar.

Mrs. Lois Ellett has been selected for the office clerk for the City of Sanborn….She replaces Mrs. Mitch Seivert who has a one year leave of absence because of the birth of her son, Bret.
Sanborn Cub Scouts delivered the Community Calendars Saturday to residents throughout the city.

Memorial services were held January 5 at the Christian Reformed Church for Ed Boone, 91….Ed owned and operated barber shops in Melvin and Sanborn from 1936-1989.
A reception honoring HMS girls basketball coach, Mark Butt is planned for Sunday, Jan. 9 at HMS gym in Hartley. Butt recently recorded his 500th career victory.

(from the January 16, 1975 Pioneer) One of the worst snowstorms in many years swept into the area Friday, halting activity and travel for three days…Snowfall in Sanborn was measured at a total of 19 inches. Bitter temps combined with high winds put the windchill factor at around 60 below zero.
