Last week a professional film crew from the University of Iowa followed Dr. C. Maris around the Medical Center, house calls, hospital calls, and calls at Prairie View gathering footage for a color movie film…The film will be used to help communities understand what is helpful in attracting a physician.

Another 10 foot section has been added to the flag pole at Sanborn Municipal Building. From the 30 foot pole the City now displays a 5×8 foot flag rather than the previous 3×5 ft.
A total of $2,545.62 had been received by Music Mothers in the Band Uniform Fund Campaign.
Winners of the Free Beef given by the Sanborn Chamber of Commerce at the drawing June 6 are: $50 Rich Van Den Hoek, $25 Will Grogan, $10 each Marianne Balt, Arnold Verrips, Jean Noll, Harold Hoekstra, Albert Litka.

A Raymond family picnic was held in the City Park on Monday with 46 relatives attending.
The City Council approved a resolution regarding the sale of real estate following a public hearing. (the lots were located in Sanborn Industrial Park.)

Jake and Bessie Van Dyke will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on June 19 with a card shower.
A Cousins Reunion was held at the Bill and Ardis Dummett home Memorial Day weekend with over 50 relatives in attendance.
