Hawk girls produce two medalists at West Sioux golf meet
The Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn golf girls journeyed to Hawarden April 15 to take on the host West Sioux Falcons. The Hawks wound up on the wrong side of a 210-222 score.
There were some bright spots individually for HMS. “We had two girls medal,” noted coach Cheryl Kroese. “Megan Ten Kley improved nicely and shot a 51. She took second overall. Taking fourth place was Kinsey Schirmer with a 54. I was very happy with how both girls came out and competed. We just need to get consistent with our overall play as a team. That will come as we continue to play more matches.”
Team scores: West Sioux 210, HMS 222.
Medalists: Emily Hulshof (West Sioux) 40, Megan Ten Kley (HMS) 51, Kassadee Anderson (West Sioux) 52, Kinsey Schirmer (HMS) 54.
HMS varsity scores: Megan Ten Kley 51, Kinsey Schirmer 54, Elise Haack 58, Emily Sindt 59, Darby Mastbergen 60, Elle Mastbergen 62.
