On a blustery April 12, the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn girls hosted Unity Christian for a War Eagle Conference golf dual at Sanborn Golf and Country Club. The Knights defeated HMS 206-228.
“I felt the girls handled the situation with the weather well,” stated Hawk coach Cheryl Kroese. “It did make it a struggle to perform well. I think our biggest takeaway was learning how to put mind over matter and deal with adversity. We look forward to the next meet where hopefully conditions won’t have such a huge impact.”
The three lowest rounds were turned in by golfers from Unity Christian. Emily Sindt was low for HMS with a round of 55.
