Wade and Sherryl Tressler spent the Memorial Day weekend catfishing at Franklin, MN. Joining them were Al and Andy Endorf of Waterloo, and sons Reece and Patrick from Myrtle Beach, SC.
Randy and Candice Lyman spent Memorial weekend in the home of their daughter, Swede and Kim Eliker and Ryker at Lincoln, NE. This past weekend they also visited the Elikers and helped move a play fort while there.
Sylvia Andringa spent Memorial Day at the Bob and Nella Seivert cottage at Spirit Lake. She enjoyed visiting with her granddaughter, Erin Fuchani and children Delilah and Oliver of Denver, CO. She had not seen them in the last year due to COVID.
Jim and Becky Suckow visited their son, Andrew Suckow at West Des Moines Memorial weekend from Friday to Tuesday. Amy Suckow of Eden Prairie, MN was also a guest.
Larry and Fran Peelen received a visit from Mark VanderWerf of Holland, MI. He was doing research of the farms his great-grandfather had rented. In 1915-16 his great-grandfather had rented the farm the Peelens own. Mark asked to tour the farm and would like any history information Larry would have. They also toured the Vander Haag Museum, having lunch at Jay’s Restaurant.
On Thursday Justin and Cassy and Cadence Bohnet of Lafeyette, CO and Denise Bohnet were coffee guests of Corky Camarigg.
Ellen Brown of Creston, formerly of Sanborn, celebrated her 95th birthday anniversary on Friday and Sunday with her entire family. Attending from Sanborn were Randy and Darla Brown and family: Joe of Sanborn, Josh of Sioux Falls, SD and Nicole of Denver, CO.
On Friday Jose and Carol Salazar traveled to Des Moines to surprise their son, Troy and to celebrate his and granddaughter, Isabelle’s birthdays. They enjoyed the evening out having dinner with family and friends. On Sunday they enjoyed a car show and breakfast out. They returned home Sunday afternoon.
David Amundson and Janie Slade of Canton, SD came with dinner prepared to enjoy with their Aunt, Sally Knowlton. They later took Sally for a ride to visit Linda Rozeboom who is recuperating at home after arm surgery.
Alan and Andy Endorf of Waterloo, along with Janelle and Patrick of Myrtle Beach, SC visited Jeanette Endorf for the weekend. Sherryl and Wade Tressler, and Roger, Rae Lyn, and Ethan Paulson of Sheldon joined them for supper on Friday.
Jim Dasen of Cedar Rapids came Friday evening and spent the weekend in the parental Charlotte Dasen home. He left Sunday evening and had the misfortune to hit a deer on his return home.
On Sunday Karla Dasen and Katie Dasen and Sebastian of Scottsdale, AZ arrived to spend a few days with Charlotte Dasen. Sebastian is enjoying “Papa Ralph’s” John Deere and monorail while here.
Rick Maranell, Bob Maranell, and Codi Maranell were supper guests Thursday in the Linda Rozeboom home.
Larry and Fran Peelen visited their granddaughter Jake and Krystle Ness and family at McCallsburg. The Peelens went especially for their great-grandchildren Isabelle, Olivia and Owen’s dance recital held on Sunday afternoon. Tim and Wendy Peelen also spent the weekend with Krystle’s family.
Rexann Brant of Paullina and Nancy Iverson drove to St. Louis, MO for the graduation of Samantha LaClair. She is the daughter of Jennifer and Steve LaClair and granddaughter of Rexann. The girls spent the weekend there.
Jack and Carol Elgersma and Don Hakeman were Saturday night supper guests of Jim and Becky Suckow. They were also Sunday dinner guests in the Suckow home.
Sunday visitors in the Hank and Mary Iedema home were their daughter Doug and Michelle Van Kley of Edgerton, MN. Also visiting were their granddaughter Haley and husband Chad and great-granddaughter Auburn; and Mina Van Kley.
Harriet Van Veldhuizen had a belated birthday celebration with cousins at Sheldon last Wednesday morning. They included Muriel Kanengieter and Mildred Blankers of Sheldon and LaVonne Blankers of Archer. They met at Sheldon at noon for lunch.
