Visitors of Sally Knowlton last week were Meg Zach of Rosholt, SD, Jane (Beyer) Stannard of Thompson Station, TN, and Gayle Vander Woude.
David Amundson and Janie Slade of Canton, SD took their Aunt Sally Knowlton out for dinner at Jay’s Restaurant Sunday.
Ronda Vondra of Fremont, NE, Terri Nissen and son Zack of Spencer and Linda Rozeboom enjoyed lunch together at Jay’s Restaurant on Monday.
Visitors in the Charlotte Dasen home this past week were Mary Japenga, Carol Salazar and Linda Rozeboom. They came especially to visit Anita Goetz who is visiting here from Fairbanks, AK.
Sarah Goetz, Stevie Goetz and Sara Mustard of Fairbanks, AK arrived Thursday to visit in the Charlotte Dasen home. Sarah returned home again on Tuesday.
Steve Goetz of Fairbanks arrived Sunday afternoon after riding his motorcycle from Tampa, FL. He and friend Bob Marok rode together as far as Guttenberg, IA, where Bob continued on to northern Minnesota. The trip included a poker run as part of their “Coast-to-Coast beCAUSE of Q” fundraiser. beCAUSE of Q is a non-profit organization that was formed in memory of Bob’s granddaughter, Quinn that raises funds for testing, education and support for Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). The Wade Tresslers had visitors from Nebraska for the weekend. Madi, Bianca, Ceasar and Juan went with Sherryl to Flandreau, SD for a Pow Wow Saturday. The kids had a great time seeing their native culture. They also got to meet blood relatives who were dancing Saturday night. Wade joined them out at Douma Park. Food and swimming were loved by all.
Don Hakeman was a Sunday dinner guest in the Jim and Becky Suckow home.
On July 15 Christy TenKley and children Jacob, Ava, Ady and Claire arrived in the home of her parents, Jose and Carol Salazar. They came especially to visit cousins Ashley Janssen of Utah and Sarah Janssen of Denver, CO. On Friday they all went to the Winery in Round Lake, MN. Also attending were Nicole Roder, Carol Salazar, Margaret Larson and Katie Janssen. On Saturday they enjoyed a BBQ at the home of Margaret Larson in Worthington, MN. They reported they enjoyed great food, fun and visiting. Everyone returned home on Sunday.
George and Helen Andringa of Lincoln, NE and Jolene Greving of Estherville visited Sylvia Andringa Saturday and went out for lunch. Jim Andringa of Fairmont, MN visited Sylvia Andringa Sunday. He picked up apricot jam his mom had made for him.
Linda Zwagerman of Sun City, AZ visited her sister, Wanda Schuver for several days. Wanda gave her a tour of Sanborn. Wanda’s daughter, Patricia and husband Tim Cooper of Indianola visited for the weekend. Sunday they were guests in the Steve Schuver home for a delicious dinner.
Annette Haack and Perry and Lori Haack of Boyden traveled to Onawa on Thursday to attend the Monona County Fair. Their great-niece, Hannah Allen showed her livestock projects: rabbits, chickens and pigs. They also enjoyed seeing her 4-H projects in the buildings. She received many ribbons and awards. They had a great time at the Fair and spending time with Hannah’s grandparents Bob and Fran Haack, parents Heath and Heidi Allen, and uncle and aunt Eric and Heather Nichols, all of Whiting. They returned home Friday.
