HMS boys take part in Dan Lennon Invitational
The Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn track and field boys took advantage of the climate-controlled Dakota Dome on March 28 by participating in the Dan Lennon Invitational held on the University of South Dakota campus in Vermillion. The Hawks competed in Class B against teams from several states.
Top finishers for HMS included Ethan Diehm, who placed fifth in the long jump with a leap of 19’ 9-1/2”. Bradley Zamudio made it to the semifinals of the 60 meter hurdles. His ran a 9:34 in the prelims, good for 10th. Zamudio’s clocking of 9:33 in the semis was 12th-best.
