A church furnishings auction will be held at 1 p.m. at the Christian Reformed Church Sat.. Marv Donkersloot and Rich Vander Werff are auctioneers.
The Town Council met Monday evening with Mayor Wilbur Merriam. The main topic of discussion centered around Dutch elm disease and what could be done, if anything, to save trees of Sanborn and replace those already lost.
Don Rohrs, a former Sanborn man, just signed a five-year record contract with Fiesta label in Los Angeles, CA.
Coffee guests of Mrs. Ralph Dasen Friday morning were Mrs. Jim Gallup, Mrs. Gladys Dummett and Mrs. Chas. Schroeck. Mrs. Schroeck moved recently to their neighborhood.

At the April 13 meeting the City Council looked over concept maps for usage of the former Scholten property for an industrial park and the former Postma property for a housing subdivision.
April 15 was the last day of Rhyme Time at Learning Tree Preschool and the children gave a program for their parents…A gift of appreciation was presented to Lola Glover from the Rhyme Time Class for her assistance.
Ed and Alma Donkersloot recently returned from a three-week visit to Australia.
