Rae Lyn and Roger Paulson of Sheldon took Sherryl Tressler out for supper for a belated birthday celebration last week…Joining them was Andy Endorf of Waterloo. He was visiting his Aunt Sherryl over the weekend.
Last week Tuesday a few classmates got together at Jay’s Restaurant for lunch and visiting. In attendance were Gayle Vander Woude, Judy McQueen of Archer, Arlene Frerrich of Lake Park, Jacque Comstock and Linda Rozeboom.
Lee and Susie Van Tol attended the wedding ceremony of their great-nephew, Levi Van Den Brink to Brienna Bonnema. The 4 o’clock wedding took place at Trinity Reformed Church in Orange City last Saturday.
Jim and Becky Suckow and Shawn and CJ Schroeder attended worship services Sunday morning at the Lutheran church in Germantown. Rev. Keith Christiansen has been a supply pastor at the church while they await a new pastor. He and his wife have been members at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sanborn since his retirement from the ministry. The Christiansens will be moving permanently to Arizona in a few weeks to make their home.
Larry and Fran Peelen visited their granddaughter and family Saturday night. Sunday morning they attended Grace Methodist Church with Krystle and Jake Ness and family. Fran and Larry attended the confirmation ceremonies especially for the class. Their great-granddaughter Isabelle Ness was one of the confirmands. Krystle and Jake held a dinner in honor of Isabelle. The Peelens returned home Sunday afternoon. They noted there were few fields planted to corn or beans. When visiting with farmers of the area, the general feeling was the soil was too cold.
