Last Thursday Hubert Schultz was setting out some more of 2,000 plants in the flower bed next to the bath house in the town park.
Transcendental Meditation as Taught by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi lecture will be free to the public Friday, June 15 at 8 p.m. at Sanborn City Hall with Michael Tinker as speaker.
Steven Holz left Sunday for Fort Carson, CO after spending a furlough in the parental Norman Holz home.

Announcement was made this week of the sale of Sanborn Publishing Company, publishers of the Sanborn Pioneer to Mrs. Dorothy Chrisman of Sanborn. She has been manager of the newspaper and job printing plant since January 1972…Mrs. Chrisman has had about 25 years experience in the newspaper and printing field.
June is Dairy Month. Sanborn is fortunate in having a large AMPI plant located here…During the past year they processed about 112 million pounds of milk, five and one-half million pounds of butter and 10 million pounds of nonfat dry milk powder.

Pictured were large feathered visitors who made a stop in the grove of the Vernon Storm farm southwest of Sanborn. They were identified as turkey vultures. They arrived May 28, spent the night and left the next day.
The Board of Trustees of the Sanborn Municipal Light Plant reviewed information regarding replacement lights for Main Street…Several of the light fixtures on Main Street have failed and parts are no longer available.

On June 18 the SERVE Team of the Christian Reformed Church will leave for Cary, MS to work under the auspices of the Cary Christian Center.
At their June 8 meeting the City Council discussed cost estimates for the residential subdivision on the former Postma property and the industrial subdivision on the former Scholten property…It was the consensus of the Council to name the subdivision Eastview First Addition.
