The Sanborn Savings Bank announced that it has purchased the Raak building directly north of the bank and anticipates remodeling this spring using one of the areas to put in a drive-in window and customer parking area.
A total of 266 dozen cookies were brought Saturday to the Town Hall for the Annual Have a Heart Cookie Day for the residents of Prairie View.

Marie Schuver was pictured in this issue with the trophy she won in the opening round of the free throw contest held at the Sectional Tournament at Everly. She made 23 out of 25 to tie with Linda Norton of Hartley. In the shootoff Marie made 9 out of 10 to win first place….She is the daughter of the Ray Schuvers.
Coaches from the Sweet Soo Conference made their selections for the conference teams this year. Alvina Postma and Gail McCarty made First Team All-Conference. Marla Geerdes received Honorable Mention.

Paul DeBoer has accepted a position with the State Department of Public Health as the disability consultant to the Governor’s Head Injury Advisory Council in the Bureau of Injury & Disability Prevention. He is the son of the Charles DeBoers.

Western Christian High School advanced to state competition on February 17 in the area IV Regional Academic Decathlon in Central Lyon High School…team members (from Sanborn) are Rob Andringa, Justin Vander Werff, Jeremy Van Beek, and Mark Buteyn.
The Sanborn Chamber of Commerce is planning Sanborn’s 4th Farm & Home Show on Sat., March 9 from 1-8 p.m. At the HMS Middle School.
