The new Senior Citizen’s Apartments at 4th and Main Street is nearing completion.
After three months without a regular pastor, the First Reformed Church has received word that the Rev. Gerald Osland has accepted the pastoral extended to him by the consistory here.
Sanborn’s residents had a rare treat Friday when Jack Jehue, local antique car enthusiast, had all five of his oldsters parked along Highway 18.
Friends gathered at the rural Bill Dummett home last Saturday evening to help the Dummetts celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary.
The Franklin Frohwein family of rural Sanborn has a pet crow which apparently longs for higher education….Last Thursday 11-year-old Jeff left on the school bus after saying goodbye to his pet crow, Jasper. Jasper had other ideas. Later that morning when Jeff and others in Mrs. Postma’s class arrived on the playground, the crow was all ready for recess too.

The local post office will open for window service from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Saturdays beginning this week.
GFWC 20th Century Club invites the public to their 100th birthday party Thurs., Sept. 26, 2-4 pm. at the Masonic Lodge.
Mike Wallinga, senior at HMS high school, was recently named one of some 15,000 Semifinalists in the 42nd annual National Merit Scholarship Program.
Kids Express Daycare is coordinating a Tour of Homes in Sanborn on September 28…Homes included were the Gary Wiekamp, Rodney Den Hartog, Jeff Kuehl, Ross Douma, John Solsma and Dena DeRoos (at the Prairie View Manor) homes.
Burdelle Krikke recently retired after 39 years employment with Sanborn Cooperative Grain Company.
