On Friday, Sept. 25, Carol Salazar and Cindy McParland traveled to Castalia to visit a grade school classmate, Becky Monroe. It had been years since they’d seen each other. They saw beautiful country. They drove to LaCrosse, WI and crossed the Mississippi River and enjoyed some shopping. She reported a great visit catching up on their families and enjoyed great food. Carol and Cindy returned home Sunday afternoon.
David Amundson and Janie Slade of Canton, SD visited their Aunt Sally Knowlton Sunday. Additional Sunday visitors were Judy McQueen and Linda Rozeboom.
Don and Donna Olson were Wednesday visitors of Linda Rozeboom. They spent the day helping Linda make frozen apple pies and apple crisps.
Don Hakeman was a Saturday supper and Sunday dinner guest in the Jack and Carol Elgersma home.
Mina Van Kley reported that she is happy to be in her own home once again. She has help come in every day to help her with her needs.
Last week Tuesday Linda Rozeboom had lunch at Jay’s with Arlene (Reitsma) Frericks, Jacque (Victoria) Comstock, Judy (Dennis) McQueen, Gayle (Dummett) Vander Woude, and Andy (Glazier) Cardin. They were all at one time members of the Class of 1963 Sanborn High School.
Friday Linda Rozeboom’s sister Ronda Vondra spent the day with her. On Friday evening Rick Maranell cooked a birthday supper for the birthday honorees: Kara Maranell, Codi Maranell and Linda Rozeboom. Bob Maranell and Taylor Block were also guests.
