Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn played host to Unity Christian in a War Eagle Conference volleyball match September 28 at Hartley. The sixth-ranked team in Class 3A finished off the Hawks in three sets with the scores being 25-10, 25-10 and 25-12. HMS fell to 0-6 in the conference and 0-13 on the season.
Kaley Pearson finished with two kills, two assists and five digs. Jasmine Lux and Elise Haack also had two kills and Haack added five digs. Frankie Mohni recorded three assists. Haack was 8-for-8 serving while Pearson was 9-for-10 with a pair of ace serves. Lux made a solo block and assisted with Abby Douma on another.
