At this time the tree dump is closed till further notice. The Fire Department plus the City would like to inform the public that when the tree dump opens again that anyone taking leaves to the dump is not to start them on fire. Some people are bringing things out there that don’t belong there and think they can burn it. In addition, if there is a hot spot when you bring leaves out don’t dump them on a burning pile, instead dump them away from the fire. The City crew will take care of burning.
Also you are to bring only tree branches, yard waste and leaves to the tree dump. No bags or boxes. I brought some leaves out there a couple weeks ago and I found a pickup box cover in the pile.
