Hawk boys take several events to Sioux City Relays
Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn sprinters moved to the forefront April 9 as the Hawks participated in the Sioux City Relays held at Morningside’s Olsen Stadium. In Class C the HMS 4×100 finished first and the 4×200 second. Running in both of the relays were Ryan Borden, Ethan Diehm, Kooper Ebel and Connor Dodd. Finishing fifth was the sprint medley relay team of Tyson Tessum, Bradley Zamudio, Travis Kamradt and Bryce Dodge.
Individually, Dodd was second in the 100 meters with Borden placing fifth. In the all-class long jump Dodd finished eighth and Diehm 17th. George Vargas was 29th in the all-class 3200 meters.
