The golf balls were flying for real April 11 as Remsen St. Mary’s hosted the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn girls golfers at the Remsen Golf Course. St. Mary’s won the War Eagle Conference dual with a 223 score compared to 235 for HMS.
“It was good to get outside Monday and finally get a golf meet in,” said HMS coach Cheryl Kroese. “With weather the way it has been we haven’t been able to get out on a regular basis to play. Overall, I was very happy with how my girls played. Elise Haack took 2nd place with a 54 and Megan Ten Kley took 3rd with a 56.
