The Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn boys were finally able to get out on the course in competition April 11. Remsen St. Mary’s entertained HMS at the Remsen Golf Course and the host team won the War Eagle Conference dual 175-210.
“We did some good things up to the green,” commented HMS coach Mark Japenga. “We need to continue to work on our approaches to the greens and our putting. Jack Mastbergen was the low man with a 49. We did battle and stayed focused to shoot the best we could on that day. The weather has prevented us from getting out on a consistent basis to work on our short game and improve on our course management. Hopefully with in the next week we can get some quality time at the course.
