Mr. and Mrs. Chris Rasmussen estimated around 1,200 took advantage of the special “Two fer” offer at their 20th year Appreciation Sale last Thursday at the Buttercup.
The Rev. Lowell Kayser will be ordained and installed as pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church here Sun., July 2 at 2:00 p.m.
Mrs. Kenneth Warnke and Mrs. Jay Raymond have purchased the building formerly owned by Max Whittlesey on Main Street. They plan to open a dress shop and specialize in tall and stout women’s clothing.
The Earl T. Conaway Post No. 318 of Sanborn was honored to have as their special guest Monday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Clair L. Conaway of Tacoma, WA. He is a son of Earl T. Conaway for whom the post was named.

Fifty-year members of the American Legion Post were recognized at the Memorial Day Program held May 26 at HMS. They were Ed Donkersloot, Daryle McGranahan, Leonard Foley and Robert Postma.
A 25th anniversary celebration of Harv’s Electric, Inc. will be held Sat., June 14 with open house 9-5 and O’Brien County Pork Producers serving lunch from 11-1.
