Rally gives Hawks a win over West Bend-Mallard

“It felt good to get back in the win column last night,” said HMS head coach Jeremy Gloden. “I felt like we maybe put a little too much pressure on ourselves to start and we dug ourselves a hole early. But once we finally settled down, we played good baseball and fought our way back. That was fun to see.”

HMS scored a pair of insurance runs in the fifth. Jonny Ortiz singled, stole second and advanced to third on a passed ball. Jordan Ortega walked and took second without a throw. Ortiz scored on Tesch’s ground ball to second with Ortega moving to third. Bronstad singled to drive in Ortega.
