Remodeling continues at the former Whittlesey building on Main Street which will house the Queen Shop with tentative opening date about mid-August.
Alan Endorf, son of the Arley Endorfs, was pictured in this issue with his catching a 16 pound catfish, 31 inches in length which he caught by himself in the Minnesota River.
Darla Jenness returned Monday evening, July 10 at the Cedar Rapids airport from a six-week tour of Europe with the University of Iowa Scottish Highland Band of Iowa City.

The Storm family reunion was held at the Archer Community Center on July 13. Ninety people attended.
A reunion of the descendants of Gerrit and Nellie Blankers was held at Lake Okoboji over the weekend. About 45 relatives attended.
