Sanborn Community School will have two new faculty members when school resumes this fall: Jeffery Fredricks will teach Spanish, and Judy Jensen will teach third and fourth combination.
Latest community project of the Mi’Ono Club, the new press and concession stand at the athletic field has been rapidly taking shape.
Marlin Vander Velde took first in showmanship in the Horse Show at the O’Brien County Fair.

During a thunderstorm at 1:30 Sunday a.m. lightning struck the substation causing a 69 gang operation switch to open up. All of Sanborn was without electric power for about a half hour…lightning also knocked out the computers at City Hall.
Aviation Mechanic 1st Class Jeffrey Lyman retired in a ceremony aboard the Osceana Naval Air Station in Virginia Beach VA July 22.
