Richard and Trevor Wilson from Alaska, along with Mike Stofferan, stopped out at Douma Park to visit Wade and Sherryl Tressler last Thursday.
Andy Egdorf was a guest of Wade and Sherryl Tressler over Railroad Days.
Larry and Fran Peelen attended Hefty Brothers Field day held at Baltic, SD. There were over 10,000 people in attendance who were served a free noon meal between 10:30 and 1:45. The brothers always have a lot of new information on insects, weeds and equipment. A topic of interest was short corn.
Rex and Deb Raymond visited Rex’s brother and sister-in-law, Ace and Pat Raymond Friday night to Saturday at their new home in Prior Lake, MN.
Pat Maranell of Papillion, NE visited Rick Maranell Friday afternoon. She was a Friday evening supper guest of Linda Rozeboom and an overnight guest. She stopped to see Bob Maranell on her way home Saturday.
Sunday supper guests of Jim and Becky Suckow were Shawn and CJ Schroeder.
Larry and Fran Peelen spent three days with their four children at an Airbnb south of Sioux Falls. Joining Larry and Fran were Tim and Wendy Peelen of Sanborn, Tom and Trica Peelen of Nevada, MO, Dale and Sherry Peelen of Paxico, KS and Dianne and Ken Meyer of Omaha. Everyone enjoyed being together as a family unit. The views from the decks on the porch were spectacular. Trica took many pictures of sunrises and sunsets and also the wildlife in the area, as well as many family pictures.

Last Saturday, Naomi Bosch and Jackie Van Engen picked up Donna Koerselman from Sheldon and drove to Cumming where they attended a baby shower held at the Marv and La Vonne Bosch home. The shower was for Katie Bosch Hollinger. Peter and Katie are expecting a baby boy next month. The shower was hosted by Katie’s sisters. A delicious brunch was served. Family members and friends were in attendance and Mom and baby received many useful gifts. This will be Naomi’s first great-great grandchild. Deanne Gibson had ridden to Cumming with Sara Bosch and she rode back to Sioux City with the Sanborn/Sheldon bunch.
Lindy and Barney Buren entertained over the week end at Paradise south. The guests included cousin Allen Buren, classmates and friends, Curt Carlson, Tim and Beth Carlson, Steve Huibregtse, Bobby Knowlton, John and Ruth Vander Haag (who shared big red tomatoes) and neighbors Dan and Becky and Atlee. Great memories and stories were shared.
On Saturday July 16 Carol Salazar traveled to Des Moines with Jean Snyder to attend a baby shower on Sunday for Kylee Snyder. Carol stayed until Monday with her son Troy Salazar. She enjoyed visiting with her grandson Eric and wife Keely and Alic who were also visiting Troy. The group enjoyed eating out, swimming and going to a movie. On Monday Troy drove his mother home and returned home on Tuesday.
Wanda Schuver’s visitors this weekend were Sue Schuver, Pat and Tim Cooper all from Indianola, and Marie Maranell from Carlisle. They attended class reunions and Railroad Days festivities.
Becky and Jim Suckow attended Jim’s impromptu 49-year class reunion at Jay’s on Friday night, and Becky’s 50-year class reunion Saturday night at Vander Haag’s Yesterday’s Memories Museum. Sunday evening supper guests at the Suckow home were Ron and Audrey Schott.
Andrew Den Hartog from Sioux Center and Jonathon Den Hartog from Rock Valley and families were visitors of their parents Dr. Rod and Lisa Den Hartog.
House guests in the Keith and Nancy Iverson home this weekend were Keith’s niece Jessica and Milton Davenport and family from Florida. Sunday visitors were Nancy’s sister Rexann Brant, and cousins Renae Main and Russell Folkers from MN.
Kim and Ryker Elker came Wednesday to visit Randy and Candice Lyman and attend Railroad Days events. Friday and Saturday guests were Morgan Lyman and fiancé Tanner from Harrisburg, SD.
Rick Maranell Was released from the hospital Tuesday the 19th and is recuperating at home. Cody Maranell from Ames, has been staying with him.
