Jim, Heidi, Brandon and Dylan Postma spent the weekend in the home of Nick, Teresa and Bella Postma at Ankeny.
Theresa Zafft. Hannah and Conner of Hayfield, MN spent last week Thursday in the home of Grandma Charlotte Dasen.
Linda Rozeboom drove to Sioux Falls last week Wednesday and had lunch with Mike, Bryce, and Danielle Rozeboom. Bryce moved to his dorm room at the University of South Dakota, Vermillion on Friday where he is enrolled as a freshman.
Eliot Meyer of Omaha, NE, grandson of Larry and Fran Peelen spent two days and an evening visiting and playing cards. Eliot also visited his other grandparents, John and Carolyn Meyer of Sheldon. Eliot and John played golf at the Sanborn Golf & Country Club, then had lunch with Larry and Fran.
Sherry Tifft attended the Iowa State Fair with daughters Montana and Savanna last week. They were part of Saturday’s crowd which set the highest one-day attendance total of all time at 128,298 attendees. The previous record was 127,277 people on Saturday, August 17, 1991. They also witnessed Saturday the setting of a Guinness World Record for the largest cornhole tournament with 730 participants, breaking the previous record of 444 set in 2019 in San Diego. Among the sights and sounds enjoyed was the butter sculpture paying tribute to The Music Man musical.
Weekend visitors in the Jack and Carol Elgersma home were Alissa Holland, Taylen, Ellie and Jase of Buffalo Center, SD. Joining them Friday night for supper and “slumber” party were Maci, Jack and Kennedy Wright.
Lee and Susie Van Tol helped twins Natalee and Lilee Miller celebrate their 12th birthday Sunday with dinner, in the home of their parents, Ken and Rebecca Miller at Primghar.
Larry and Fran Peelen attended the annual Bison Burger fund raiser held last week Tuesday at Prairie Heritage Center near Sutherland. They visited with several friends also attending the fund raiser. The Center had been recently redone with many interesting displays.
