Thursday afternoon Ryan and Nancy Van Dyke took Harriet Van Veldhuizen and Donna Farrell to Canton, SD to watch Donna’s granddaughte, Rylee Farrell play in a Junior High volleyball game. Joining them at the game were John Farrell, Diane McKee of Sioux Falls, and Brad Farrell and Jess of Garretson, SD. After the game the Van Dykes, Harriet, Donna and Diane went to the Canton Pizza Ranch and were joined there by Shari Pyle of Sioux Falls for their evening meal.
Sarah Goetz of Fairbanks, AK spent several days last week with her Grandma, Charlotte Dasen.
Jay and Leann Lyman and children, Nick and Abby of Myrtle Beach, SC visited their grandmother, Sylvia Andringa Sunday.
Game Night was held at St. John’s Lutheran Church Sunday with seven people present.
Randy and Candice Lyman attended the Celebration of Life for June Lumby Lyman held at Sioux City a week ago Sunday. She died on September 10.
Marie Maranell of Carlisle visited Linda Rozeboom Saturday morning. She is spending time in Sanborn with her mother, Wanda Schuver.
Jim and Becky Suckow watched the soccer tournament at Spencer Saturday. Their great-nephews, Karter and Tate Van Gorp played in the tourney. They are sons of Adam and Christina Van Gorp.
Last week Tuesday afternoon coffee guests of Linda Rozeboom were cousins Dave and Carol Van Roekel of Spirit Lake and Linda’s sister and husband, Donna and Don Olson of Sioux City.
Sunday morning Harriet and Jeane Van Veldhuizen attended the morning worship service at the Sibley First Reformed Church. During the fellowship time after the service, their sister-in-law, Marilynn and Dale DeBoer were honored for their 60th wedding anniversary, with their son, Roger and Teresa DeBoer of Boyden serving decorated cake. Also attending were Dale’s sister, Marilyn Vaupel of Eau Claire, WI and brother, Leroy and Glenda DeBoer of Sibley.
