Newly-elected president of the Sanborn Chamber of Commerce is Terry Jaycox. Ardis Dummett was elected secretary.
The cast of the state qualifying play, “Adventure in the Garden” were pictured on the front page of this issue. They were Dawn Rozeboom, Rhonda Van Kley, Judy Zevenbergen, Diann Fulk, Pam McGranahan, Patti Enger, Debbie Norton, Roger Scholten, Mike Van Engen, Martha Thomas and Mary Donkersloot.
Five from Sanborn High School will be participating in the Northwest Iowa Honor Band Concert & Choral Festival. They are Martha Thomas, Mike Van Engen, Lori Vander Heiden, Kenny Kuyper, and Lori Reinsma.
At a special meeting of the congregation of Sanborn Christian Reformed Church January 25 it was decided by a large majority to build a new sanctuary and parish house at an approximate cost of $300,000.00.

Alice Steele will celebrate her 90th birthday anniversary February 7 with open house from 2-4 p.m. at Prairie View where she resides.
Finishing touches are being done at the Community Building. Cupboards have been installed, with more to come. The bar has been moved from the Legion Hall.
