A meeting of persons interested in starting a Meals-on-Wheels program met February 28 at Prairie View to determine whether there is a need for such a program in Sanborn.
Official announcement has been made of the resignation of Cletus Schott as manager of Sanborn Co-op Grain Company. The tentative date is May 31.
The 50+ Club entertained members of the American Legion and Auxiliary at a potluck supper at the Club room Friday. Fifty-seven guests signed the register.
Greg McGranahan left Saturday for North Carolina where he will be employed by the State of North Carolina in the Forestry Service.
Mr. and Mrs. Merton Raymond have retired from farming and finished moving to their new home north of Highway 18 Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Gerrit Prince have returned home after spending three weeks vacationing in the Phoenix and Tucson, AZ areas.

Matt Schuver and Jon Ruf qualified for the State Wrestling Tournament at Vets Auditorium in Des Moines. Both are seniors at HMS.
A large crew from Sanborn and surrounding area spent from Monday to Saturday at Grand Forks, ND to help in the “flooding of ‘97” recovery project. They included Art Bosch, Leonard Anderson, Willard and Arlene Boscaljon, Merne and Edna Haack, Terry Bootsma, Arlin Elgersma, Harv Verbrugge, Craig and Dwayne Camarigg, Lee Reitsma, Terry Van Dyke, Scott Starkenburg and the Earl Elgersmas.
Mary Donkersloot has written a book for people with diabetes…The Everyday Gourmet Diabetes Cookbook is filled with easy recipes…Mary is a Beverly Hills-based consulting nutritionist…she is a Sanborn High School graduate.
