Jack and Carol Elgersma spent Friday night and Saturday with their daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and Roy Eeten at Sioux Falls, SD. They went especially to see their grandson, Nick play in the Special Olympics Basketball Tournament. The team won one game and lost one on Saturday. On Sunday they won both games and took the Gold Medal.
On Sunday Barb Pry drove to New London with Bobby Honkomp, Sally Urbanec, and Elayna Urbanec to attend a bridal shower in honor of Barb’s granddaughter, Emma Pry.
Susie Van Tol celebrated her birthday with a dinner on Sunday. Guests were Dave and Stacey Van Tol and family of Tea, SD, Mike and Judy Visser, and Justin and Mandy Hoekstra and family of Hull. In the afternoon additional guests were Justin Van Tol, and Rebecca Miller and daughters Natalee and Lilee of Primghar.
Candice Lyman spent the weekend in the Swede and Kim Eliker home at Lincoln, NE. Her little grandson, Ryker had just had his tonsils removed.
On Friday afternoon Jose and Carol Salazar traveled to Fremont, NE to visit in the home of their daughter, Christy and Jeremy Ten Kley and granddaughters Ava, Ady and Claire. They enjoyed eating out and shopping. They had a surprise though, waking up Sunday morning to four inches of new snow! They didn’t have any on the ground when they came on Friday. They reported having a great time and returned home Sunday evening.
Last week Wednesday evening Marie Maranell of Carlisle and Rick Maranell and Bob Maranell were supper guests of Linda Rozeboom.
Jim Dasen of Cedar Rapids came Friday evening to spend the weekend in the parental Charlotte Dasen home. He returned home on Sunday evening.
On Thursday Glenda Miller and Linda Rozeboom met Dave and Carol Van Roekel of Spirit Lake for lunch at the Lakes.
