Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn’s girls track and field team got some indoor work in March 28. The Hawks traveled to the Dakota Dome in Vermillion for the University of South Dakota’s Dan Lennon Invitational.
There were several top 10 finishes for HMS, which competed in the large Class B field. Emily Mutombo qualified for the finals of the 60 meter dash where she placed sixth. Mutombo finished seventh in the long jump. Clara Funk came in 10th in the 3200 meter run.
