Outdoor season begins for Hawk girls at Wolverine Early Bird Meet
Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn answered the call of the great outdoors as the Hawk track and field girls took part in the Wolverine Early Bird Meet held March 30 at Paullina. HMS finished fourth as a team with 44 points. The meet was won by Okoboji which compiled a 169 total.
The Hawks won the 4×100 meter relay in a time of 57.10. The winning team members were Frankie Mohni, Moriah Otto, Abby Otto and Emily Mutombo. There was also a pair of third-place finishes for Mutombo. Those came in the 100 meters and the 200 meters. An additional third-place finish went to Alexis Croatt in the 3000 meter run.
