Sanborn Community School has signed contracts with five new teachers for the 73-74 school year. Mr. Wayne Remme as high school principal, also Joel Grau, David Aalbers, Edward Brandt and Marilyn Sundberg as teachers.
In their “Good Turn Day for the Handicapped” Saturday the Sanborn Boy Scouts collected three pickup loads of bags with usable and repairable clothing and other items…The bags will go to Goodwill Industries.
Mary Donkersloot and Michael Van Engen have been chosen to tour with Young World Singers this summer. They will be the only Iowans on the tour.
Donna Noll received an appointment from Cedar Rapids Recreation Commission as Assistant Director for the Tot Lots, supervising and planning recreation.
Roger Scholten was Valedictorian, Michael Van Engen was Salutatorian for Sanborn Community School. Graduating with highest honors were Susan Postma, Rosalyn Whittlesey and Martha Thomas.

The Buena Vista University football team will depart for Germany on May 27 where they will take their skills…Troy Salazar of Sanborn will be competing for the Beavers.
Ron and Phyllis Sterler will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2-4 Sunday, June 7 at Sanborn Golf & Country Club.
