HMS girls return to Orange City for Unity Co-ed Invite

After a week away, the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn girls track and field team returned to Northwestern College in Orange City on April 15. This time it was Unity Christian hosting their Co-ed Invite. The Hawks scored 32 points to finish sixth. MOC-Floyd Valley won the meet with 192 points.
A pair of relays finished in the runner-up spot. The same four runners pulled off the double. In the 4×100 it was Payton Diehm to Keely Ebel to Kamryn Ebel to Pamela Mutombo. The sprint medley relay order was Diehm, Kamryn Ebel, Mutombo and Keely Ebel.
Those same four runners, Diehm, Keely Ebel, Kamryn Ebel and Mutombo finished third in 4×200. Also placing third was Laura Vargas in the long jump. Vargas joined Keely Ebel, Kamryn Ebel and Mutombo on the fifth-place 4×400 relay team. Finishing sixth were Cammy Wilson in the shot put and Eva Stammer in the 200 meters.
