HMS boys get a split in duals decided at WEC Tourney
Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn got a win and a loss as two War Eagle Conference boys golf duals were decided by the scores from the back nine at the Conference Tourney. The Hawks lost to South O’Brien by just one stroke, 192-193, but that total was more than enough to collect a win over Trinity Christian, which was one golfer shy of the four needed to record a team score. HMS finished with a 2-8 record in duals.
The 42 carded by Aiden Bush gave him medalist honors in both duals. Jack Mastbergen fired a 46 and medaled in both duals. Lawton Schiphoff shot a 50 to pick up a fourth-place medal in the dual with the Tigers. Eli Mastbergen and Kolby Douma each shot 55 and Blake Meendering 59.
