Medals elude HMS golf girls in loss to Remsen St. Mary’s
Remsen St. Mary’s visited Sanborn Golf & Country Club April 29 to challenge the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn girls in a battle of the Hawks. The visiting birds of prey turned away the hosts by a score of 199-224.
“A couple of ladies finished just out of the medal places tonight,” noted HMS coach Cheryl Kroese. “Megan Ten Kley actually tied Alyssa Schorg for fourth place but got beat out on the handicap hole. Both shot a 54. Elle Mastbergen continues to improve and had a nice night with a 55.”
Team scores: Remsen St. Mary’s 199, HMS 224.
Medalists: 1st, Tori Galles (RSM), 40; 2nd, Sidney Tritz (RSM), 52; 3rd, Bella Arens (RSM), 53; 4th, Alyssa Schorg (RSM), 54 (won tiebreaker).
