Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn visited the South O’Brien girls April 13 at the Primghar Golf Course. The golfers battled the heat and the wind with South O’Brien winning the War Eagle Conference dual 218-233.
Gracie Knobloch tied the Wolverines’ Whitney Einck for the low round of 47. A handicap card playoff awarded Einck the first-place medal with Knobloch taking second. Elise Haack claimed fourth after shooting a 55.
The other scorers for the Hawks were Kinsey Schirmer with a 56, Morgan Grooters with a 75 and Abby Kunzman with a 79.
