HMS boys go 0-2 in WEC golf triangular
The Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn golf boys turned in their second-lowest score of the season as the Hawks welcomed MMCRU and Harris-Lake Park to Sanborn Golf and Country Club May 4. The competition was tough, however, and HMS wound up losing 176-184 to MMCRU and 172-184 to the Wolves.
In the dual with the Royals, HMS collected two of the medals. Jack Mastbergen was second with a round of 42. Charlie Conway and Lucas Kroese each shot a 42, with fourth place going to Conway. Mastbergen’s 42 was good for third place versus Harris-Lake Park. Blake Meendering and Slayton McCarter each carded a 50 and Aiden Bush toured the course in 55 strokes.
