Rex and Debbie Raymond are happy to announce the birth of their granddaughter, Molly Minerva Booker born on September 28. Molly weighed six pounds four ounces at birth and was 18 3/4 inches long. She is the daughter of Reggie and Jackie Booker of Houston, TX. She is welcomed home by her siblings Lincoln and Cecilia. Jackie and Molly came home from the hospital on Monday. Debbie is there helping with the family and Rex has returned home from their trip.
Sylvia Andringa is recuperating at Prairie View after injuring her leg in a fall recently.
Jeff Dasen of Scottsdale, AZ arrived Monday for a visit in the parental Charlotte Dasen home. He had been visiting the Jerry Gray family at Rochester, MN since Saturday.
Larry and Fran Peelen celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary by touring The Badlands, Black Hills, Custer State Park and Needles. The Aspen trees were just beginning to change color when the Peelens arrived in the Badlands. Each day there featured a little more fall color in the area. When the Peelens left the area the full fall colors were viewed. The drive home was beautiful and the weather was very enjoyable 70’s. They also attended the buffalo round up. One of the cowboys commented the old bulls and cows are learning the way so not as much fun as the earlier drives. The buffalo round up was attended by approximately 25,000 people.
Last week Tuesday, coffee friends Carol Salazar, Joyce Tewes, Mary Waltz, Cindy McParland, Jean Larson, Nancy Nagel and Elaine Dagel enjoyed getting together for Happy Hour, pizza and popcorn at the Hartley American Legion. A fun time was enjoyed by all.
Last Friday afternoon Linda Rozeboom drove to Sioux Falls, SD and had lunch with her granddaughter, Danielle Rozeboom.
Last week Friday evening Troy Salazar met his parents, Jose and Carol Salazar at Hull to attend the football game in which grandson Alic Salazar was playing. Troy spent the night with his parents and returned home to Des Moines on Saturday.
Ron and Audrey Schott were Friday visitors in the Jim and Becky Suckow home.
On Sunday Linda Rozeboom drove to Omaha, NE to the home of her son, Paul and Shelly Rozeboom. She went especially to see her granddaugher, Kaitlyn Nesbett and great-granddaughter Amorie Lee Nesbett who are visiting their family in Omaha. They will be moving next week to Hawaii for a few months where her husband, Sam will be employed.
