In their last competition before the Conference meet, the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn boys traveled to Le Mars May 4 to face Gehlen Catholic. The challenging Willow Creek black course resulted in the Hawks’ highest team score of the season. Gehlen won the War Eagle Conference dual 191-219 as HMS fell to 3-6 on the season.
Ben Haack picked up a fourth-place medal after firing a round of 50.
